This Mission style pattern with its prominent twisty ribbon design is inspired by the organic shapes of the famous Scottish Arts & Crafts designer, Mackintosh.  The diagonal braid contrasts with the typical straight lines of Mission motifs.

 

Each glass panel glows with rich colors of green/lime and dark periwinkle blue from a  twisty ribbon & two squares, and vertical & horizontal bands. The background is light honey. The design is framed within a butterscotch border. Very dramatic.

 

The wooden base is pyramid square-shaped with clean straight lines that mirror the same shape as the shade. Its blonde color matches the honey glass. It is stained with a smooth satin finish.

 

This lamp would look wonderful in a contemporary setting.
